Babuino 181 - Small Luxury Hotels Of The World, Rome

Babuino 181 offers rooms and suites set in two historical buildings, each equipped with a Nespresso coffee machine and a marble and mosaic bathroom. Guests can select from a pillow menu to customize their comfort, and the spacious suites provide generous square footage compared to many city hotels. Complimentary in-room refreshments, including soft drinks and bottled water, are restocked daily.

A complimentary sweet and savoury breakfast buffet is served each morning on the rooftop terrace, with options including scrambled eggs and local delicacies. The same terrace operates as a bar in the evenings, offering drinks and light fare with views over the historic centre. Two sister restaurants on nearby streets, including Emme at Margutta 19, provide additional dining choices for guests.

The hotel sits between Piazza del Popolo and the Spanish Steps, placing major attractions within a five-minute walk. Via del Babuino is lined with boutiques, jewellers, and antique dealers, while the Flaminio Metro station is 300 metres away for connections across Rome. Trevi Fountain, Via Condotti, and the Borghese Gardens are all reachable on foot.

The 24-hour front desk provides concierge assistance, tour desk services, and luggage storage for early arrivals or late departures. Express check-in/check-out and an airport shuttle (surcharge) are available, along with daily housekeeping and room service. Laundry and ironing services, as well as babysitting upon request, cater to families and longer stays.

Housed in two adjacent historical buildings, the hotel preserves original architectural details while offering modern comforts like air conditioning and soundproofed rooms. The outdoor sun terrace and rooftop provide spaces for relaxation, and facilities for disabled guests are available. Family rooms, non-smoking floors, and safety deposit boxes are provided for convenience.
